Allergies

If you or someone you care about feels like they’re always sneezing, battling a runny or stuffy nose, or dealing with itchy, watery eyes, allergies may be the cause. For some, symptoms show up every spring or fall when pollen counts are high, while others notice them year-round from things like dust or pet dander. Allergies can do more than just make you uncomfortable — they can interfere with sleep, drain your energy, and make it harder to enjoy everyday life.

At our ENT clinic, we take the time to figure out what’s really triggering your symptoms. This may involve a careful exam and, when appropriate, allergy testing to identify the specific causes. Once we know what’s behind your allergies, we work with you to find the right treatment. For many people, that means medications or nasal sprays that bring quick relief. For those with more persistent symptoms, allergy shots — also called immunotherapy — can actually help retrain your immune system to become less sensitive over time. This approach doesn’t just mask the symptoms; it treats the root of the problem, offering long-term relief and a better quality of life.

Sinusitis

If you or someone you know feels like they’re constantly battling facial pressure, a blocked nose, or sinus headaches that never seem to end, sinus issues may be the reason. Sinusitis occurs when the sinus cavities — the open spaces around the nose and eyes — become inflamed or clogged. For some people, this only happens after a cold or during allergy season, but for others it turns into a chronic problem that keeps coming back. Common symptoms include congestion, thick nasal drainage, reduced sense of smell, and a feeling of fullness around the cheeks, forehead, or between the eyes.

At our ENT clinic, we take a thorough and thoughtful approach to evaluation. This starts with a detailed history and physical exam to understand your symptoms and how they affect your daily life. We often perform a nasal endoscopy, a quick and comfortable procedure in the office that uses a small camera to look directly inside the nose and sinus passages. In many cases, we also recommend imaging — most commonly a CT scan — to get a clear picture of what’s happening in the sinuses. Together, these steps give us the most accurate understanding of what’s causing your problems.

Treatment is always personalized. For many patients, optimizing medical therapy with nasal sprays, rinses, or medications brings significant relief. But if symptoms persist despite these efforts, we also offer advanced options. One of the most effective is image-guided sinus surgery, a highly precise procedure that opens blocked sinus pathways, restores normal drainage, and reduces the cycle of infections. Our goal is simple: to help you breathe easier, feel better, and get back to living without the constant burden of sinus problems.

Hearing Loss

If you or someone close to you has noticed difficulty hearing conversations, needing to turn up the TV, or feeling like sounds are muffled, you’re not alone. Hearing loss is one of the most common health concerns, and it can affect people of all ages. Sometimes it comes on gradually, making it harder to notice at first, while other times it happens suddenly after an illness or ear problem. Hearing difficulties can make social interactions frustrating, cause miscommunication, and even lead to feelings of isolation if left untreated.

At our ENT clinic, we start with a thorough history and physical exam to understand the nature of your hearing problem. This includes microscopic otoscopy when indicated, which allows us to carefully examine the ear canal and eardrum to rule out infections or structural issues like earwax (cerumen) buildup or fluid behind the eardrum. From there, we partner with our audiology team to perform specialized hearing tests that measure how well you hear across different pitches and volumes.

Once we have a clear picture, we discuss the best treatment options. For many patients, hearing aids are a safe and effective way to restore clarity and reconnect with daily life, and we carefully evaluate candidacy for these devices. In cases where hearing loss is due to problems in the middle ear (conductive hearing loss), surgical options may be available. For more advanced inner ear (sensorineural) hearing loss, we also assess candidacy and offer cochlear implants, which can provide meaningful improvement for those who don’t benefit enough from traditional hearing aids.

Our goal is to make sure hearing loss doesn’t hold you back from fully engaging with the world around you. With today’s wide range of treatments, we can help you find the solution that best fits your needs and lifestyle.

Nasal Congestion & Rhinitis

If you or someone you know is always feeling “stuffed up,” struggling to breathe through the nose at night, or waking up with a dry mouth from mouth breathing, nasal congestion may be the culprit. While it’s normal to feel congested with a cold or during allergy season, ongoing blockage that never seems to go away can interfere with sleep, exercise, and even your overall energy level.

At our ENT clinic, we take a careful approach to understanding why your nose feels blocked. This begins with a thorough history and physical exam, and often includes a nasal endoscopy. This quick in-office procedure uses a small camera to give us a clear view of the nasal passages and help identify what’s contributing to the obstruction, whether it’s swelling from allergies, a deviated septum, or enlarged turbinates.

Treatment usually starts with medical management — options like nasal sprays, rinses, or allergy therapy that can reduce inflammation and open the nasal airway. For patients whose congestion comes from a structural problem that medicine alone can’t fix, surgery may be offered to correct the mechanical cause of obstruction. This can restore normal airflow and provide long-lasting relief, allowing you to breathe, sleep, and live more comfortably.

Pediatric ENT

When a child is struggling with ear, nose, or throat problems, it affects the whole family. Whether it’s missed school days, restless nights, or the worry that comes with repeated infections, parents want answers they can trust. At our ENT clinic, we’ve developed a close and trusted relationship with our community pediatricians, working hand-in-hand to make sure children get the best care possible when problems go beyond the scope of a regular office visit.

We commonly help families manage conditions such as chronic tonsillitis, nasal congestion, sleep apnea related to enlarged tonsils and adenoids, and recurrent ear infections that don’t improve with standard medical therapy. We also care for children with nosebleeds (epistaxis), which can be distressing and disruptive even when not dangerous. Our goal is always to identify the root of the problem and provide solutions that bring lasting relief.

Every child we see is unique, which is why we take a careful, evidence-based approach to evaluation and treatment. This means balancing the latest medical knowledge with a thoughtful understanding of each child’s needs and family situation. Sometimes this involves watchful waiting and medical management; other times, surgery may be the most effective way forward. In every case, we focus on helping kids feel better, sleep better, and thrive — so families can get back to enjoying life without ENT issues holding them back.

Sleep Apnea & Snoring

If you or someone you care about snores loudly, wakes up gasping for air, or feels tired no matter how much sleep you get, sleep apnea may be the reason. Snoring on its own can be frustrating for you and your loved ones, but when it’s a sign of sleep apnea, it can also impact your overall health. Untreated sleep apnea has been linked to high blood pressure, heart problems, and daytime fatigue that can affect safety and quality of life.

At our ENT clinic, we begin with a thorough history and physical exam to understand your symptoms and identify possible anatomic causes of airway obstruction. We also work closely with our sleep medicine colleagues to ensure that each patient receives the most accurate diagnosis and the right treatment plan. This often includes a sleep study, which provides detailed information about your breathing patterns during sleep.

Treatment options are tailored to your needs. For some, medical therapies such as CPAP are effective, while others may benefit from surgical interventions to improve airflow. We are proud to also offer the Inspire implant, an advanced therapy for obstructive sleep apnea that uses a small device implanted under the skin to stimulate the airway muscles during sleep, keeping the airway open without the need for a mask. This innovative option has helped many patients who cannot tolerate CPAP regain restful, healthy sleep.

Our goal is to help you breathe easier, sleep better, and restore the energy and health that come with a good night’s rest.

Throat & Voice Disorders

If you or someone you know has been dealing with persistent hoarseness, throat discomfort, or changes in the way your voice sounds, it may be more than just irritation from a cold. Voice and throat problems can affect anyone — from teachers and singers who rely on their voice daily, to patients with reflux, allergies, or other conditions that strain the throat. These issues can make it difficult to communicate, enjoy conversations, or perform at work.

At our ENT clinic, we begin with a careful history and exam to understand your symptoms. When needed, we perform an in-office flexible laryngoscopy, a quick and well-tolerated procedure that allows us to look directly at the vocal cords and throat. This provides valuable information to help us establish an accurate diagnosis and guide treatment.

Care is always individualized. Many patients benefit from working with trusted community speech therapists, who use specialized techniques to improve vocal strength, efficiency, and quality. In cases where medical or therapeutic approaches are not enough, we may offer surgical treatment to address underlying structural problems of the voice box when indicated.

Our goal is to restore your voice, relieve discomfort, and help you feel confident speaking, singing, and communicating in your everyday life.

Thyroid & Parathyroid

The thyroid and parathyroid glands are small but vital parts of the neck that help regulate many functions in the body. The thyroid controls metabolism, energy, and hormone balance, while the parathyroid glands play a key role in maintaining calcium levels. Problems with these glands can show up in many ways — from fatigue, weight or mood changes, and irregular lab results, to more noticeable symptoms such as neck swelling, difficulty swallowing, hoarseness, or a lump that can be felt in the neck.

At our ENT clinic, we work closely with your primary care physician and endocrinologist to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care. Evaluation usually includes a review of your history, blood tests, imaging such as ultrasound, and sometimes a biopsy of thyroid nodules to determine if surgery is necessary.

Surgery is most commonly offered for thyroid cancer, but it can also be appropriate for other conditions. Patients with a multinodular goiter — an enlarged thyroid with multiple nodules — may need surgery if the gland is causing compressive symptoms like difficulty swallowing, pressure in the neck, or breathing problems. Parathyroid surgery may be indicated when abnormal parathyroid hormone levels lead to problems with calcium balance, bone health, or kidney stones.

When surgery is recommended, we provide expert and safe care. All thyroid and parathyroid surgeries are performed with intraoperative nerve monitoring, a technology that helps protect the vocal cord nerves during surgery and improves surgical precision. This allows us to deliver excellent outcomes while minimizing risks to your voice and swallowing.

Our goal is to guide you with clarity and compassion through each step of the process, ensuring you feel supported from diagnosis through recovery.

Head & Neck Cancer

Finding a lump in the neck, noticing a sore in the mouth that doesn’t heal, or experiencing persistent hoarseness or difficulty swallowing can be frightening. While not all of these symptoms mean cancer, they do deserve careful attention. Head and neck cancers can involve areas such as the throat, mouth, voice box, thyroid, or lymph nodes, and early evaluation is the key to the best outcomes.

At our ENT clinic, we perform a thorough evaluation and complete workup for patients with concerning symptoms. This often includes a detailed exam, biopsy of the affected area, and imaging studies to determine the extent of the disease. Once we have this information, we sit down with you to discuss the results, next steps, and the treatment options available.

Because cancer care requires a team approach, many of our cases are presented at a multidisciplinary tumor board meeting, where ENT surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists come together to develop the best treatment plan for each individual patient. This ensures that you benefit from the expertise of an entire team of specialists, not just one doctor’s opinion.

We offer surgical treatment for head and neck cancers at our center, using advanced techniques to remove tumors while preserving as much function and quality of life as possible. For larger or more complex cases, we coordinate care with large regional institutions where additional resources are available — and through our established connections, we make sure that the transition is smooth and your care remains continuous and personalized.

Our goal is to guide you and your family with clarity, compassion, and expertise through each step of the journey, from diagnosis to treatment and recovery.
